I searched for this item on the internet and read the specifications regarding the BTU output of this heater. I have seen ratings from 21,000 BTU to 13,000 BTU. I currently have a tabletop patio heater w/ a reflector on top that is rated at 11,000 BTU and wanted a unit with a little higher rating. I received this unit today and the rating is 7,000 BTU based on the sticker information. This is the highest priced lantern I have ever purchased. If you need additional moveable patio lighting, go buy a coleman lantern. They are a lot cheaper!
Do not waste your money on this item as a heater. Buy the standard tabletop unit with the reflector on the top, which is a lot cheaper.
